Super tasty and ridiculously tender. While they were cooking, the smell was just so amazing. My apartment still smells great. Made 6lbs tonight -- looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!

For those who have an allergy to soy, here's a substitute for the soy sauce - it works wonderfully!

INGREDIENTS

    * 4 tablespoons beef bouillon
    * 4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
    * 2 teaspoons dark molasses
    * 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
    * 1 pinch white pepper
    * 1 pinch garlic powder
    * 1 1/2 cups water

DIRECTIONS

   In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the beef bouillon, balsamic vinegar, molasses, ginger, white pepper, garlic powder and water. Boil gently until liquid is reduced to about 1 cup, about 15 minutes.

I'm substituting beef broth for the water and omitting the bouillon, plus using red wine vinegar instead of balsamic. Experiment!

Glad you enjoyed them! I haven't met anyone yet who doesn't like them, but it's always great to get this kind of praise!

Thanks!

I've actually gotten the nerve and the time to whip up a batch of these babies, and I will tell you now that this recipe does NOT disappoint! Everything from the tropical scent, to the perfect balance of sweet and meaty in the taste, to the gooey chewy texture... It's all I can do to keep from eating them all so I can share this with my friends and family later!

And to all of you afraid to get your keyboards sticky, the grease factor isn't all that bad. One napkin is much more than enough for a personal serving of five wings if you're so inclined.

Kudos to to you Pix for sharing this wonderful recipe with us, and to Jeff for creating a very apt name for one voodoo treat I'm sure will get more rave reviews in the days to come!

Thank you! The sandbox tiger is fun and the wings look positively YUM - gonna have to try these this weekend. Now, how to avoid getting greasy, sticky fingers all over the keyboard while leveling my orc?

This looks tasty! I'm not a big fan of finger food like this - the neurosis about having grease on fingers is strong in this one - but the way those wings look, I'd brave the mess for the taste. :)
